The Northwest Central Breastfeeding Task Force

The Northwest Central Breastfeeding Task Force (NWCBTF) is a coalition of public health professional, medical professionals, University faculty, and community members dedicated to actively protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding. The Task Force has representatives from McDonough, Hancock, Knox, Warren, Henderson, Fulton, and Mercer counties. The Northwest Central Breastfeeding Task Force activities were first initiated in early 2011. The Task Force is working to help our communities reach the Healthy People 2020 breastfeeding objectives which include 81.9% of mothers initiating breastfeeding and 60.6% of mothers still breastfeeding at six months.

The NWCBTF welcomes new members and encourages anyone who is interested in supporting breastfeeding to join us.
